Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SecProve ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
SecProve is a competitive cybersecurity and AI security knowledge validation platform. The Platform provides multiple-choice assessment questions, leaderboards, user profiles, and related features designed to help cybersecurity professionals test and demonstrate their knowledge.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not create multiple accounts, share accounts, or transfer your account to another person.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the Platform in an unauthorized manner.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or related systems.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute question content, explanations, or other proprietary Platform content.
- Manipulate leaderboards, scores, or other competitive features through cheating, collusion, or exploitation of bugs.
- Upload offensive, harmful, or illegal content to your profile or any user-facing feature.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers or networks connected to it.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
5.1 Platform Content
All questions, explanations, citations, scoring algorithms, and other content provided by SecProve ("Platform Content") are owned by SecProve or its licensors. Platform Content is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Platform Content without our express written permission.
5.2 User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Platform (such as profile avatars and bios). By uploading content, you grant SecProve a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you provide.
5.3 Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or error reports, you grant SecProve an unrestricted, perpetual license to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
- SecProve offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Features available in each tier are described on the Pricing page.
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are listed on the Pricing page and may change with notice.
- Monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time and will not renew at the next billing cycle.
- Annual subscriptions can be canceled at any time and remain active through the end of the current billing period. Partial refunds for unused portions of annual subscriptions are not provided unless required by law.
- You can manage your subscription through the Settings page or the Stripe billing portal.
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers on annual plans will not be affected until their next renewal.
- Founding Member pricing, where applicable, is locked in for the lifetime of a continuous subscription. If canceled and later re-subscribed, standard pricing applies.
7. Leaderboards and Competition
- Leaderboard rankings are calculated based on quiz performance and are provided for informational and motivational purposes.
- SecProve reserves the right to reset scores, remove entries, or adjust rankings if cheating, manipulation, or abuse is detected.
- Leaderboard positions and badges do not constitute professional certifications or credentials.
- SecProve makes no representations about the employment or career prospects associated with Platform performance.
8. Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Question content is for educational and assessment purposes only. While we strive for accuracy and cite authoritative sources, content may contain errors or become outdated.
- SecProve is not a certification body. Performance on the Platform does not constitute a professional certification, credential, or guarantee of competence.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecProve and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to SecProve in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecProve from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall survive.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
